AdRIA Adaptronics – Research. Innovation. Application.

Adaptronics – the term refers to intelligent systems that automatically adapt to changing operational conditions. Using as little energy and as few materials as possible, electronically controlled sensors and actuators monitor structures and, among other things, ensure lower levels of vibration, less noise and dimensional stability. As such, adaptronics offers multidisciplinary technology with an extraordinarily strong potential for innovation in the development of sustainable products. Possible applications range from mechanical and plant engineering, automotive engineering and structural and domestic engineering to medical engineering, security technology and energy technology. The LOEWE centre AdRIA conducts research across the entire development chain for adaptronic systems, from materials development, system integration and manufacturing through to application.
