Giersch Summer School and International Conference from 22 February until 4 March 2021

An exchange of ideas should be encouraged between those involved in experimental and theoretical research, even during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Science (FIAS) and the 'Xidian-FIAS Joint Research Center' (XF-JRC) networks as well as the DynaMem and CMMS LOEWE clusters, the Rhine/Main universities and the GRADE – iQbio graduates’ programme are all seeking to create a suitable platform for this during the 2021 Giersch Summer School and International Conference from 22 February until 4 March 2021.

The eight-day event combines a conference with learning units, which consist of expert lectures given by leading scientists, next-generation presentations and laboratory demonstrations. A particular topic will be the focus of attention each day:

  • Quantitative imaging in the biosciences
  • Quantitative cell biology
  • BIG DATA in the biosciences
  • Structure analysis and modelling in the biosciences
  • Cellular dynamism theory
  • AI in biology
  • Theoretical and digital medicine
  • Experimental and theoretical neurosciences

More than 50 international speakers will present the top research results in these topic areas.

The registration deadline closed on 31 January 2021.
