On July 19, 2024, the University of Marburg celebrated the University Summer Festival in the Botanical Garden on the Lahnberge. Numerous departments, centers and groups presented themselves and their work in various formats and with hands-on activities for adults and children.

These included the former LOEWE center SYNMIKRO and the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology, which are currently working on new LOEWE research projects.

A special highlight was the Science Box, where, in the tradition of the Speaker's Corner in London's Hyde Park, Fiona Ullmann presented the LOEWE research project Tree-M in just five minutes.
