For the third time, the Prom3theus conference 2026 (Practical Orientation, Methodology, and Theory Development in Educational Research) took place in Frankfurt at the DIPF from March 2nd to 3rd, this year focusing on the topic of “Transfer in Empirical Educational Research – Perspectives, Opportunities, and Challenges.” The two days were characterized by various keynote speeches, workshops, opportunities for networking, and individual presentations by the participants.

The first day concluded with a panel discussion featuring Dr. Martina Diedrich (Head of the Governance Center in the CHANCEN network), Dr. Anne Klein (Research Associate at the regional SchuMaS Center Berlin), Constanze Fuchs (Managing Director of the Didactic Workshop at Goethe University Frankfurt), and Tanja Desch (Head of ProLOEWE), who discussed, among other things, the opportunities and challenges of transferring school projects. The panel was moderated by Prof. Katja Adl Amini (TU Darmstadt) and Dr. Desirée Theis (DIPF). The Q&A session with the attending early-career female researchers, researchers from transfer projects, and experts in empirical educational research resulted in a lively discussion, which continued over dinner. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry under grant number 01JG2309A and is jointly organized by TU Darmstadt, Goethe University Frankfurt, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, ABL Frankfurt, ICER Mainz, DIPF (Leibniz Institute for Educational Research and Educational Information), GRADE, and IDEA.
