The LOEWE Cluster CMMS (Multiscale Modeling in the Life Sciences) will again organize the lecture series "CMMS Talks" in the winter semester 2023/24. External speakers bring their own impulses from the international scientific community to the LOEWE Cluster CMMS. Every two weeks, speakers present their current research results to the scientists of the LOEWE Cluster. With their contributions, experts in their field also encourage CMMS scientists to be even more creative in their research.

The CMMS Talks will take place every second Thursday at 2 p.m. starting October 19, 2023, in the lecture hall of the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies (FIAS), Ruth-Moufang-Str. 1, Frankfurt am Main.

Dr. Benoit Morel from the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS) will kick off the event with a lecture entitled "Models and methods for disentangling the complexity of gene and species evolution."

Registration is not necessary.
