The article titled "Where Drugs Dock onto Proteins – Marburg University Exhibit on Science Ship Explains Possibilities of Modern Medical Research" focuses on the exhibit "In Search of the Magic Bullet," with which visitors aboard the MS Wissenschaft can interact.

Using the lock-and-key principle, the exhibit allows users to link drugs with proteins or RNA and design phages – agents considered a promising research approach in the fight against bacterial pathogens. The exhibit draws on the concept of the "magic bullet": a targeted therapeutic agent capable of precisely identifying its destination within the body.

Developed by scientists at Philipps University Marburg in collaboration with several LOEWE Research Rrojects and ProLOEWE, the exhibit showcases current approaches to anti-pathogen research, highlighting the pivotal roles played by phages, proteins, and RNA.

The MS Wissenschaft, a floating science center, is touring Germany and Austria until October, offering an interactive experience of cutting-edge research under the theme "Medicine of the Future."
