Mira Mezini, LOEWE top professor and scientist at LOEWE-emergenCITY, honored as ACM Fellow

LOEWE top professor Mira Mezini, head of the Software Engineering department at TU Darmstadt and scientist at LOEWE-emergenCITY, has been honored as an ACM Fellow. The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) thus honors outstanding computer scientists - only one percent of its more than 100,000 members receive this award.
Prof. Mezini conducts research into programming languages and software engineering, with a focus on intelligent software systems. She was one of the first to use machine learning for automatic code completion. She has received an ERC Advanced Grant and awards from IBM, Google and the Horst Görtz Foundation, among others, for her work.
In addition to her research activities at emergenCITY, Prof. Mezini is a member of the German Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech) and the Academia Europaea. She is also co-director of the Hessian Center for Artificial Intelligence hessian.AI and a member of the board of the National Research Center for Applied Cybersecurity ATHENE.
