Anti/Feminism & Nationalism: A lecture series of the Marburg LOEWE Research Cluster GenDem, starting April 16, Thursdays from 6 to 8 pm, Ketzerbach or online

The LOEWE research cluster "Entanglement of Antifeminisms: Gender, Democracy, and Authoritarianism in 'Entangled Modernities'" (GenDem) addresses the question of how antifeminism, democracy, and authoritarian tendencies are related.
In cooperation with the Center for Gender Studies and Feminist Futurology (ZGS), the lecture series presents diverse perspectives and current research findings on this topic on Thursdays from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. during the summer semester. The event is a hybrid format – taking place both in person in Lecture Hall 107 (Ketzerbach 63, Marburg) and online.
A particular highlight is the Gender Lecture by Prof. Dr. Nadje Al-Ali (Brown University) on June 25, 2026: "The Entanglements of Feminism & Nationalism in the Middle East and North Africa."
