From October 21 to 22, the German federal government is hosting the Digital Summit in Frankfurt/Main. As part of the dialog forum, Chancellor Olaf Scholz and various federal ministers will exchange ideas under the motto “Germany Digital - Innovative. Sovereign. International” with participants from politics, business, science and civil society. The LOEWE Center emergenCITY will present itself at the “Market of Digital Opportunities” as part of the event.

LOEWE-emergenCITY will be focusing on the “Digital Heinerblock” mission on an exhibition area of around seven square meters under the heading “Smart Living” in the focus area on digital crisis and disaster protection. In this project, scientists are supporting the city of Darmstadt in the development of a traffic-calmed neighborhood. Among other things, sensor boxes will measure particulate matter and noise and enable wireless communication in the event of a disaster.

Another part of the Digital Heinerblock is the energy-autonomous “advertising pillar 4.0”, which warns residents in the event of a prolonged power outage. A special highlight at the LOEWE Center stand is the serious game “Krisopolis”, with which emergenCITY presents a tool with which users can playfully prepare for an emergency.

On the second day of the event, Matthias Hollick, the coordinator of emergenCITY, will give a presentation on “Digital Resilience: Building a National Crisis Resilience Center”. This will be followed by a panel discussion with politicians, representatives of authorities and scientific institutes.
