Invitation from LOEWE-ACLF-I and ProLOEWE: A day as a young scientist, on March 3rd, at the Frankfurt University Hospital
On March 3, 2026, the Frankfurt University Hospital Frankfurt will become a campus for young researchers. From 9 a.m. onwards, students aged 9 to 11 can expect an exciting and varied program in the lecture hall, jointly organized by LOEWE-ACLF-I and ProLOEWE.
The day begins with a short, child-friendly presentation introducing students to the world of medicine and scientific research. Afterwards, they visit a microbiology lab, where they experience a real research atmosphere and gain insights into the daily work of scientists. A special highlight: hands-on experience instead of just listening! In their own experiment, the children explore how germs spread via the hands and the effects of thorough handwashing. This leads to genuine "aha!" moments, imparts knowledge in a playful way, and raises awareness of hygiene. Finally, the budding researchers can test their new knowledge in a quiz.
