The LOEWE Research Cluster ACLF-I looks back on its LOEWE funding period with a concluding retreat and a Young Academy Day

On April 29 and 30, 2026, the final retreat of the LOEWE Research Cluster ACLF-I took place in conjunction with a Young Academy Day. Participants and contributors to the focus area gathered for a diverse program characterized by stimulating discussions, fresh insights, and valuable interactions.

A particular highlight was once again the Young Academy Day, featuring two outstanding speakers: Dr. Meike Vogler (PD) and Prof. Dr. Thomas Wilmer. Through their excellent presentations and expertise, they contributed significantly to the success of the event. Formats such as this demonstrate once again the vital importance of scientific exchange and strong networks for innovation and the promotion of early-career researchers.

The final retreat also marked the conclusion of an intensive and successful funding phase for the LOEWE Focus Area ACLF-I – a period defined by interdisciplinary collaboration, scientific excellence, and a dedicated network. In particular, the exchange between established scientists and early-career researchers consistently took center stage, underscoring the importance of sustainable collaborations for future research initiatives.
