The LOEWE research-initiative ACLF-I, which has been funded by the state of Hesse since 2022, met on March 28th, 2022 for the official kick-off meeting in Frankfurt. The motto of the day was "Research and goals of the LOEWE focus ACLF-I".

The project is under the scientific direction of Prof. Dr. Jonel Trebicka and his deputy PD Dr. Christoph Welsch and the consortium consists of partners from the Goethe University (Frankfurt), the Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology IME (Giessen), the Georg Speyer House (Frankfurt) and the Paul Ehrlich Institute (Langen).

The numerous sub-projects presented their first research results and discussed the current goals in the current first project year. Further cooperations were decided, which will promote an optimal and structured cooperation in the ACLF-I consortium and there were many interesting discussions from the exciting lectures, which will positively influence the further course of the project.

The LOEWE focus ACLF-I can look back on a very good and successful project start and the scientists work very motivated and purposeful on their research projects.

After the application and assessment took place exclusively online due to the pandemic, it was very pleasant for all participants to meet and talk (again) in person.
