From 13 to 22 June 2025 the Hessentag takes place in Bad Vilbel: LOEWE will be presenting five basic research projects at the stand of the Ministry of Science and Research for three days.

This year as well there will be a lot on offer at the stand of the HMWK at the Hessentag 2025 in Bad Vilbel.

"What are 3D cell aggregates, what is their value for research, and what is necessary to produce them and cultivate them over a longer period of time?" With these questions (and the corresponding answers), LOEWE-FLOWFORLIFE will open the series of LOEWE projects on Monday, June 16, which will be presenting hands-on science at the 62nd Hessentag in Bad Vilbel.

On Wednesday, June 18, the motto is "Medicine of Tomorrow": Three LOEWE projects will present their work – LOEWE-ACLF-I, LOEWE-CARISMa, and LOEWE-FCI. This year's event focuses on research into the biological mechanisms of cancer and acute liver failure with the goal of developing innovative therapies.

LOEWE-emergenCITY will then conclude the LOEWE presentations on Friday, June 20, under the heading "digital, resilient & secure." This LOEWE center is researching "Resilient Digital Cities" and thus addressing highly topical questions: How can the functionality of cities with digitally networked infrastructures be ensured in extreme situations, crises, and disasters?

For the scientists involved in the LOEWE projects funded by the HMWK (Hessian Ministry of Science and Research, Arts and Culture), the Hessentag, with its folk festival character, is always a welcome opportunity to bring research, and in particular basic research, from Hesse closer to the people of the state in an uncomplicated way.

In 2025, the Hessentag is held in Bad Vilbel for the first time. This will be the 62nd edition of the festival.
